FAQ

What does a facialist actually do?

A facialist works deep beneath the surface, on the muscles, the tension and the circulation of the face. Where a conventional beauty treatment tends to the skin only at its surface, facialist massage reaches the deeper tissues to revive radiance, soften the features and reawaken the natural energy of the face.

Are these treatments right for you?

Yes. They are made for anyone in search of wellbeing, of release, or of natural beauty. Whatever your age, your skin type or your experience, you can come to soothe stress, care for your skin, soften the marks of time, or simply offer yourself a moment to pause.

How often should you come?

Once a month is ideal if you wish to settle effects that truly last, and yet even an occasional session can transform a face. Some clients come with every change of season, or before an important occasion, and you can always prolong the benefits at home with a few gestures of self-massage.

Is it compatible with injectables or cosmetic surgery?

Yes, entirely. Facialist massage can accompany an aesthetic approach by stimulating circulation, helping the tissues to relax and supporting the volumes of the face. It is wise to wait three weeks after an injection such as Botox or hyaluronic acid, and one month after a thread lift or facial surgery, always with medical advice. Do think to mention it before your treatment, so that I can adapt it as finely as possible.

Are there any contraindications?

Facial treatments call upon delicate areas, so they are best adapted to your state of health. They are not advised in the case of:

  • an active viral or bacterial infection, such as a herpes flare-up or shingles
  • any lesion, open wound or skin inflammation
  • fever or deep fatigue
  • recent surgery or an aesthetic procedure, with a minimum of one month and medical approval
  • an auto-immune condition or an ongoing cancer, particularly where lymphatic drainage is concerned, for which medical advice is essential
  • pronounced rosacea or couperose, or capillary fragility, for which certain treatments such as gua sha or drainage may be unsuitable

If you have the slightest doubt, please write to me before booking, and I will take the time to adapt your treatment with great care.

Should you prepare before your treatment?

There is very little to do. If you can, come without make-up, and avoid scrubs or abrasive treatments in the preceding days. Set aside a calm moment afterwards so the benefits can settle, and avoid a blow-dry or shampoo the evening before, since some of the gestures can draw a little oil towards the roots or leave the hair slightly undone. If you have an appointment straight after, you may wish to tie your hair back, or simply to arrive relaxed and free of any immediate constraint. The idea is to come without pressure, fully available, and to leave a little more grounded and at ease.

How do you book?

Booking is done directly online, via the calendar below.

For a first visit, begin with the Bilan + premier soin: a full diagnosis of your skin, before we compose your ritual together.

A 50% deposit is required at booking. Cancellations or rescheduling must be notified at least 48 hours in advance.

How long does a session last?

Each treatment has its own duration: you will find it indicated on every service, within the Cercle d’Isis (Women) and the Cercle privé (Men).

After the treatment, about ten minutes of return to calm extend the pause, time to savour its benefits. A delicate attention, too, towards the person welcomed next, so that they find the same haven of calm on arrival.

And how do the self-massage workshops work?

They let you learn simple, powerful gestures suited to your own face:

  • a morning and evening routine
  • gua sha
  • lifting gestures against sagging
  • smoothing gestures for fine lines, away from the deeper folds

They take place in small groups or as a tailored private lesson, according to your needs and your level. It is a lovely way to settle caring rituals into your home, in full autonomy.
